Goutam Pal is a painter and a studio based art practitioner. He works in diverse mediums and techniques in the field of visuals arts. Recently he is exploring the possibilities of graphite pencil in drawing for last two years; where he is developing a language in drawing while working on a very basic and simple medium of art. He did his BFA with a first class first position and MFA in painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University in Santiniketan. Goutam has received city award in Painting category from Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation 2017, Mumbai, India. He holds Visva-Bharati merit scholarship in Painting 2005-09.
