Nagesh Goud was born in 1965, pursued his graduation in fine arts from JNAFAU College of fine arts, Hyderabad. He developed a deep affinity for the traditional leather puppetry and included the stylistic details of the 'Thollu bommalata', into his paintings and sculptures. The subject matter of the works is similar to the stories that were performed using the leather puppets since olden times. Even though his work largely draws inspiration from the Indian traditional art forms yet he excels in improvising and extending the periphery of his expression into a very personal connotation. He has participated in many group shows and a number of art related activities.
