Keep your artworks out of direct sunlight. Do not lean anything against the surface of a canvas. Dust your artworks with a clean, soft rag occasionally to prevent dust buildup. Do not use cleaning products or water! Hang your artworks away from very busy and possibly messy areas. Try to avoid subjecting your artworks to extreme changes in atmosphere. Avoid excessive dryness, humidity, heat or cold. Do not frame artworks on canvas under glass, because canvas needs to breathe, if it is framed under glass you may trap moisture inside the frame. Canvases experience small, subtle shifts over time due to mild atmospheric changes, so it is best to leave them without glass to allow them to flow with these slight changes.

Venkat Ramulu Jogu

Venkat Ramulu Jogu was born in 1982. Venkat completed his  MVA in Printmaking from Kalabhavan, Shantiniketan and a BFA in Painting from J.N.T.U., Hyderabad. The 'lines', in the works by Venkat move as instinctively as a heart throbs. Just like a heart, works on its own and does not need attention or effort for its functioning, the visual imagery that evolves on the picture surface rendered by Venkat flows just as naturally. Non descriptive and non illustrative these forms are abstract in their own way. They are ambiguous, minimalistic and abbreviated. They can be thoughts, people, creatures or instances, yet it is their shielded, unknown and veiled symbolism that appeals the viewer. The composition holds both geometric and figurative overlapping often correlated to narrate his mindscapes intuitively, if not abstract sense. The elements that were reduced to their basic forms with subtle distortions in terms of tones and shapes might have definite meaning but serve as beautiful forms catering to the needs of the composition.
